This Shark Tooth Cactus is formerly known as Ephiphyllum chrysocardium. It is also commonly referred to as Fern Leaf Orchid Cactus or Shark Fin Cactus.
It is an epiphytic jungle cactus with spineless, flattened, pale green stems with rounded zig zagging lobes. It Requires bright indirect light, and when exposed to early morning or late afternoon sun will grow much faster and increase the chances that once mature will produce blooms. This a a night blooming cactus, its giant white blooms with golden filaments are a sight to behold!
It is a unique succulent that only likes to be watered when the soil is completely dry. In the winter, it also needs very little water.
