It is currently growing in a very well-draining mix. It's been growing in an area where it receives bright indirect light, and can also tolerate low light. Be sure to allow the potting mix to dry out in-between each watering.
Though whale fin is a slow growing type of Dracaena, it is well worth the wait! It's also an air-purifying plant!
